“Dynamic wrinkles” is a term often used to describe lines and wrinkles that develop from repetitive facial expressions. The Revance® RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers is an exceptional new treatment option designed to diminish the appearance of these wrinkles in certain facial areas with long-lasting results that do not appear “frozen.” Composed of hyaluronic acid, an ingredient that is natural to the human body, the RHA® dermal filler solution has been uniquely manufactured in a way that enables it to produce effective rejuvenation with outcomes that look natural.

What Are the Benefits of the Revance® RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers?

The Revance® RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat dynamic wrinkle formation in patients aged 22 and over. This treatment can benefit both women and men who are experiencing common aesthetic concerns such as nasolabial folds, lines around the mouth (“laugh lines/smile lines”), furrows between the eyebrows, and other conditions. One of the most prominent advantages of the Revance® RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers lies within the composition of the solution itself. The solution has been produced in a way that enables the hyaluronic acid (HA) molecules to maintain more of their natural form. This is important because the solution will be targeting dynamic wrinkles in areas where facial expressions are made. By preserving more of the molecules’ natural structure, the solution is better able to provide effective rejuvenation while minimizing the potential of an “artificial” appearance.

Additionally, treatment with the RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers does not require surgery or general anesthesia, and the results are known to last up to 15 months for many individuals. During your initial consultation, we can talk with you about your concerns and help you determine whether RHA® dermal filler treatment is right for your needs. This treatment can also be combined with other cosmetic injectables or surgical procedures such as facelift for patients who are interested in a more comprehensive aesthetic makeover.

Which RHA® Dermal Filler Option Might Be Best for My Needs?

The RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers includes three distinct options. Treatment will be customized to each patient based on their needs, goals, and the severity of their concerns. The three types of RHA® dermal fillers are:

RHA® 2

RHA® 2 can be good for signs of moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles and fine lines appearing as nasolabial folds (between the nose and mouth) or as creases around the mouth and lips. This RHA® dermal filler can be administered in the middle layers of skin and the deeper layers.

RHA® 3

Patients with moderate to severe signs of nasolabial folds may be good candidates for RHA® 3. One difference between this solution and RHA® 2 is that it contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that can reduce discomfort from the injections.

RHA® 4

Dynamic wrinkles and nasolabial folds that are quite severe and prominent in nature may be best addressed with RHA® 4. This dermal filler also incorporates lidocaine into its list of ingredients, which can make the injections more comfortable.

What Does the RHA® Dermal Filler Treatment Involve?

The RHA® dermal filler treatment will be performed according to the customized treatment plan developed during the initial consultation. This procedure can be done right here at our practice. A fine needle will be used to delicately inject the RHA® dermal filler solution into the areas targeted for enhancement. While some RHA® dermal filler products already contain a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the injections, our team can also apply additional numbing solutions to the skin to further reduce the potential for pain while the treatment is being performed.

This procedure usually takes less than an hour to complete. A recovery process is typically unnecessary; most individuals resume their normal daily activities immediately. There will likely be some mild bruising and swelling in the areas surrounding the injection sites; however, these effects should dissipate within a few days following the treatment.

What Can I Expect from the Results of RHA® Dermal Filler Treatment?

The results of RHA® dermal fillers may last up to 15 months. It is important to remember that all patients are unique and the effects may last longer in some than in others; however, the Revance® RHA® Collection of Dermal Fillers is known to produce results that last longer than a number of other available options, and its potential longevity is one of this solution’s most prominent benefits. When the effects begin to fade, many patients are able to maintain the results further into the future with an occasional “touch-up” treatment.

How Much Does Revance® RHA® Dermal Filler Treatment Cost?

The price of Revance® RHA® dermal filler treatment at our practice is based on unique factors associated with the customized treatment plan; therefore, the total cost often varies among individual patients. The specific RHA® dermal filler utilized, the extent of treatment being performed, and the amount of RHA® dermal filler solution required to meet your goals will all have an effect on the final price. Once your treatment plan is in place, we can provide you with a precise cost estimate and answer any questions you may have.
